
CERT training is a free 8 week national program designed by FEMA and facilitated locally by the Harris County Emergency Services District No. 48. The course is led by various instructors including employees of the Houston Office of Emergency Management, Paramedics, Firefighters, and emergency personnel from both Harris County and City of Houston.

Week 2: Fire Suppression
Week 3: Medical Operations Triage
Week 4: Medical Operations Treatment Strategies
Week 5: Light Search & Rescue Operations
Week 6: Disaster Psychology & Team Organization
Week 7: Terrorism Awareness (FBI)
Week 8: Disaster Simulation Drill

CERT training classes are held at Harris County ESD No. 48 Fire Department Building A located at 21201 Morton Road, Katy, TX 77449. Classes are held one night a week from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
